Hi, I’m Teacher Martha.
I started Camp Howl because kids deserve more time outside and adults who know their name. I hold my BC ECEA certification, OFA Level 1 first aid, and a clean CRRP criminal record check.
Small group. Big wild.
Camp Howl is a nature-based outdoor day camp in Stanley Park for children ages 5 to 8. We keep groups small — 12 kids maximum with a guaranteed 1:6 staff-to-child ratio — because every child deserves to be known by name.
Our days are spent exploring the forests around the Rose Garden and Pipeline Road: hiking old-growth trails, building forts, studying insects, playing wide games, and making art from what the forest provides. No screens, no overprogramming — just kids being kids in one of the most beautiful parks in the world.
We believe the best thing you can give a child in summer is mud under their fingernails, a few good friends, and the freedom to howl.

12 kids max
Small enough that every child is seen and heard.
1:6 ratio
Two trained adults, every session. Always.
OFA certified
Both staff hold Occupational First Aid Level 1.

Heard around the campfire
My son came home on day one talking about the salamander they found under a log. He didn’t mention a single screen, a single toy — just the salamander, the fort they built, and his new friend Kai. That’s exactly what I wanted from a summer camp.

Parent of Arjun, age 6
We tried a bigger camp last year and our daughter got completely lost in the shuffle. With Camp Howl, twelve kids and two adults means she actually gets noticed. She’s braver now. She climbs things. She comes home filthy and happy.

Parents of Willa, age 7
We use Howl at Home two days a week while I work from home. Honestly, it feels less like hiring a nanny and more like having a really wonderful aunt show up. Our kids light up when she arrives. That kind of trust is hard to find.
